Scientists in Florence are investigating whether or not Stendhal syndrome really exists by monitoring tourists after seeing great works of art. We have a feeling this is one illness people are willing to submit to.

I’ve gotten “art-ed out” at museums before and felt some dizziness/light-headedness, but I had no idea there was an actual scientific name for this experience. Fascinating!

I think this already has a name. I think it’s called “awe.” I think it’s not an illness.
