The Best Hut by Jono Williams (and friends) in New Zealand. Built for less than $1500 using mostly scavenged or donated materials, the treehouse includes solar panels, rainwater collection, a gas-fired outdoor bathtub and a radio-controlled drawbridge.

Remember when I was wondering where this was? Whisperingwillow reblogged it from someone else recently - and it had a source link!! So now I know that this is in New Zealand! My guess was way, way off. Seriously, this knowledge has made me very happy. Source links for photos are your friend!

“The white dots in the field are sheep.”
OF COURSE THEY ARE! Oh New Zealand… never change.

Wanaka, New Zealand. A tree in the sea, how can that be? A BEAUTIFUL AUTUMN TREE IN A CLEAR BLUE SPARKLING SEA!!!!!!!!!
And I found out what one who loves trees is called. Well, one who loves the woods and forest, anyway, which I certainly do- a nemophiliac. Which sounds kinda perverted, but there you are. I am also an anthophiliac, as are many of you, i.e. one who loves flowers. Or you may have a thing for cheese, in which case you are a turophiliac.
And if you are extremely bizarre and enjoy living solely off of roots you are a rhizophiliac and probably don’t have a computer.
